Brincos

Brincos

Los Brincos were one of the top bands in Spain in the 1960's. They released several 45's and LP's throughout the 60's and a brilliant Psych-Progressive LP in 1970 (Mvndo Demonio Carne). This 45 is from 1967 and has a very "Who" feel to it. I've included the track "The Train" (sung in English) below.

This was from their "Contrabando" album, which actually had a U.S. release.

Thanks for the comments. I'll look for the LP's and yes total Substitute sound.

Los Brincos were fantastic!
For a start I can’t think of many bands releasing an album as early as 1964 that while obviously influenced by the Beatles it was made up entirely of original songs ( I think…) with not a weak track, a truly great Beat LP that deserves more recognition. By the time of their third one, the above mentioned “Contrabando” (1968) their two original guitarists had left (see Juan & Junior). That album started with Lola, the most commercial tune on it (their last big hit reaching no.1)…and not exactly my favourite, but there are many great songs on it and some in English too.
Los Brincos recorded in Italian, French and English since the beginning and for example “Nobody wants you know” is a cool English version of a song on "Contrabando" that was released on a 45 and worth hearing.
